It is ideally located for a number of activities, including many walks, from flat strolls through woodland and along rivers, to some of Scotland's highest mountains (the Munro's - five of which are accessible by foot from Little Orchard). There is a good cycle route to Pitlochry, a castle to explore, a park, as well as amenities such as pubs, a Michelin star restaurant, golf course, newsagent, book shop and train station. Although situated in the village, the outlook from Little Orchard Cottage is over a field and nearby River Tilt. Beyond that is Tulloch Hill (an energetic walk, but well worth it for the views). Behind us is a paddock and railway line. It is great for a quiet, relaxing break or an active hiking/cycling holiday.
