Perthshire, 26 August 2010 at 09:22 hours. The southern slopes of Ben Lawers and its neighbours belong to a large nature reserve, owned by the National Trust. It has a rich variety of alpine plants growing there. This is taken on the shoulder between An Stuc and Meall Garbh. Camera details: EF17-40mm f/4L USM, 1/4 sec at f / 19.
Cairngorms, 22 August 2010 at 06:35 hours. First of all, this photograph has been manipulated - I did see and photograph a golden eagle the day before but I only had my 70-200mm and 17-40mm lenses with me so the eagle looks rather small. The mountain is Devil's Point at sunrise. I tried a simple bit of photo-manipulation to try to show off the eagle in its majestic surroundings.
