Glen Vane, near Kinross, 03 March 2010 at 16:32 hours. Conditions in Scotland from late December into March were very cold indeed. Snow and ice lasted weeks, even at low levels. I guess the sheep will have been fed throughout the winter but night after night of sub-zero temperatures must have taken their toll on wildlife in general. Glen Vane, near Kinross, 03 March 2010 at 16:25 hours. With an afternoon spare, I decided to walk along Glen Vane for the first time and had a pleasant surprise.
