Southern Cairngorms, 22 August 2010 at 07:26 hours. I made a very early start from the tent in the Lairig Ghru at 5.00am. Sticking my head out of the tent straight into a cloud of midge so thick I thought it was raining. Awful! In my haste to get away from them, I forgot my wide angle lens so had to make a 10 minute detour back to the tent. Camera details: EF17-40mm f/4L USM, 1/6 sec at f / 19.
